The Chameleon

Sun-day! Yes indeed, we actually had the sun shine today!! I was able to get some of my projects started. Note I said started...So that leads me to today's teaser post. After a wonderful visit to Roses and Rutabagas yesterday, Rocketgirl and I went to treasure hunting. I came across a cute little table that I thought looked so multi-purpose, like a chameleon. It can change! You will see what I mean soon enough. Without further ado, here is the BEFORE pictures of this little darlin':

She was a sad sad brown color. Not a good paint job at all. But she had potential and a 'wonderful personality'

A glass insert sits atop this table...I have already made a cute fabric insert. :)

I sanded her with 150 grit and wiped it down very well to get rid of the dust. I then got out my trusty primer. I used KILZ this time but I often use the B-I-N shellac primers. From what I can tell, KILZ is just dandy in it's place of my dear B-I-N. I gave her a light sand and wipe to get her ready for paint. Of course, I used my beloved Rustoleum Painters Touch in White. I tried to love Heirloom White, but I just couldn't. Too yellow. Cans sit untouched in my paint cabinet.

Here she is primed and ready to go...

Gratuitous Lilac shot ;)

So there is a sneak peek at the little white chameleon. Stay tuned of course for the finale!

Here is another sneak peek...

Hope you had a relaxing and thought provoking weekend.
Have a sparkly day!
